Explain the concept of "Don't trust anyone over 25"

What does it mean -- where does it come from -- explain the history behind the quote.

  1. it means that adults don't under stand teens or the younger generation. it comes from "dont trust anyone over 30" which was a hippie slogan taking about the generation gap and how the older and younger generations have different out takes on things

  2. The concept of this slogan is not to trust no one over 25. In the book they are rebellious and people older over 25 are against them.This quote come from a college in California to be specific Berkley college.The actual quote says "don't trust no one over 30".

  3. Don't trust anyone over 25 means what it says. Older people don't understand what exactly is going on because they are not as involved in electronics as younger people are. Also people over 25 will tell the DHS on you or think your stupid for trying to stop the government.

  5. By saying "dont trust anyone over 25" they mean that anyone over 25 is against thhem. They are trying to prove that anyone over 25 is trying to take them down. Destroy their freedom.

  6. "don't trust anyone over 25" is a saying that comes from the hippies . The hippies has to talk in codes. They got the saying don't trust anyone over 25 from the real saying don't trust anyone over 30. Dont trust anyone over 30 refers to the age gap as said by the hippies . This all deals with drugs and the hippy terms fom the 60s.

  8. When they say don't trust anyone over 25 they ate referring back to the hippies terms and codes but the hippies actually used don't trust anyone over 30 instead and this is referring to the age gap.

  9. When they say don't trust anyone over 25 they mean they cant trust people other because they act younger. It came from the hippies,& they are very paranoid that they are being watched. People over 25 aren't trusted with things said or done.

  13. The saying means that older people dont understand the younger people because times have changed. The original saying was dont trust anyone over 30. But it was changed to match the era that they are in. The originalsaying comes from the hippies.

It means that anyone over that age would only understand what happened in their lifetime.Its an old saying that was made by a kid I'm guessing.They made it up at the meeting because the saying is really dont trust anyone over 30 but they say that because in their time people over 25 dont understand whats going in their childhood.
