How did Marcus' parents react when he told him about being detained?
Who is Barbara Stratford and what is her role in the novel, thus far?
Did Marcus' do the moral thing by telling Ron (Darryl's father) that he is alive? Should he have told him the truth from the beginning?

he did but he should have told darryls father in the beginning. and this would have been soo much easyer.
They were in shock. His mom cried. His dad was mad. They went Darryls dad to tell him that his son was still alive.

Yes, because Darrlys father was broken. He was a changed man when he morned the loss of his son. Marcus honestly didnt know anything about Darryl. He didnt know if he was alive or dead.

Yes i think Marcus did do the right thing .Honestly i wouldnt have i mean being a teenager i wouldnt because we are talk about DHS following me around and knowing what i do at all times.
Marcus's mom cryed when he tolled her the truth. and his father was angry. Not at him but because what the government is doing.

Yes Marcus did do the moral thing by telling Ron the truth. He deserves to know the truth about his son. But he should have tolled Ron and his parents the truth from the beginning because this whole problem could have been solved.
Marcus' parents were upset, they were totally woth marcus on trying to take down DHS now that they know DHS detained their son.

Marcus telling Ron that his son is alive was a good thing because Darryls parents may have been looking for him. I think its a good thing Marcus didnt tell them the truth from the start cause then his parents would have gone crazy if they new their son had been stabbed and taken.
When Marcus told his parents about what happened with the DHS and how they locked him up they were ferrious. They knew they had to tell darryl's father about what happened. I think it was the right thing for marcus to do. If he told his father sooner he could of been in a lot of trouble and put his family, darryl's family , and darryl in jeperdy. Barbara Stratford is an investigation reporter. She sthe one Marcus is going to tell his story to.

Marcus did the moral by telling Darryls parents but he should have told them sooner to get help and free Darryl.

yes marcus should have told ron sooner about the whole thing... but if he had he might not of ran into zeb and found out that darryl was alive.
His dad was very upset and his mother could not do anything but cry. Barbara is a investiagtive reporter, who trying to help Marcus and possibly free Darryl without putting everyone in danger of the DHS. He did the right thing by telling Ron when he did but should have told him sooner.

Marcus was right to finally tell Ron that his son is alive, but I think he should have done it much sooner, before Ron got so depressed, and let himself fall apart.

ReplyDeleteWhen Marcus told his mother that he was put in jail by the DHS she cried, when his dad was told he got mad and left for a walk. Barbara Stratford is an important journalist who listens to all of Marcus's storyand might publish it. Marcus did the right thing telling Darryl's father that his son was still alive so he can know what the DHS is doing and if they still have him detained at Treasure Island.I dont think Marcus should have spoke of Darryl earlier, because now he knows more and has alot of informiation and insight on the DHS.

no he didn't do the moral thing..if he didn't know if he was alive then he shouldve told them cause his dad was waiting for his son to come home, not knowing he was dead, with high hopes.
